WHAT IS PUNCH LINE AND WORDPLAY?

The funny truth is that, some upcoming rappers are good, but they don’t know the actual difference between punch line, and wordplay. Some of them don’t even know what it means.

PUNCH LINE

A punch line is a line in a rap verse or music that means at least more than 2 things or 2meanings at the same time, making your audience wonder in different dimension. Example: cause you are standing outside doesn’t make you outstanding… it means, because he is standing outside doesn’t make him unique. And it also means because he is standing outside doesn’t make him Out Standing, because since you are a dope rapper, you can do the magic of a house over his head. Punch lines are always technical, so I recommend it for the intelligent.

WORDPLAY

Wordplays are the easiest to use, it’s simply using words that sound alike and meaningful to impress your audience. Example; my lines go easy like ABC & when I punch it you go dey ask if A be C… It’s as easy as that.
