How to be a better music producer in your area in Nigeria, its not easy to really stand out in Nigeria where the more you think of a new idea, the more you see it has already been done by another producer, but I am going to open your eyes to few tips that might help you change and better your work and also sound uniquely different.
1. Always get your packs from strange and unpopular websites. This will help you in the sense that, your beats instruments will always sound different because a lot of people don’t know where you got your packs from, and will not be able to beats exactly like yours.
2. Rebrand a foreign old instrumental to Nigerian format in your own way, I am not asking you to copyright, I am asking you to let the instrumental be your inspiration, this will sound really professional, and also, a lot of people won’t get the source of the inspiration behind the beat and it will sound different and good, just make sure you take your time to make the beat.
3. Watch and read tutorials a lot; knowledge about music production is wide, the more you read and watch, the more you know to add to your own knowledge. Use search engines to search and watch tutorials online. Example is YouTube, with YouTube; you will get a lot of video answers to your questions.
4. Take time to listen to yourself, take more time to listen and master your beats, for them to sound better on wherever or whatever audio equipments they find themselves on.
